The Royal Berkshire is a country house hotel and wedding venue in Sunninghill, near Ascot in Berkshire – just a few miles from the world famous Ascot Racecourse and Windsor Castle.

This Queen Anne mansion was originally built for the Churchill family in 1705 and retains many of its original features. Intimate wedding ceremonies can be held in The Library – originally the drawing room of the main house and licensed for up to 40 guests. Larger ceremonies and wedding receptions are hosted in the venue’s adaptable function suites or even a marquee in the grounds.

The Royal Berkshire is set in 15 acres of stunning landscaped gardens, featuring a formal pond with fountains which makes a great backdrop for wedding photos. The perfectly manicured lawns are laid out with giant board games and deck chairs – ideal for your drinks reception.

There is no piano at the Royal Berkshire but I can provide a high-gloss black mini grand piano, which you’ll see being used for a wedding ceremony in the hotel’s Marlborough Room in the photo.
